Testimonies:
Charles came to Chicago from Baton Rouge carrying deep grief, disappointment, and unanswered questions. After losing his mother, grandmother, and son, and facing unemployment and depression, Charles found himself at a breaking point, unsure of his purpose and struggling to see a way forward.
Today, Charles is focused on continuing to grow, strengthening his faith, and becoming a better father, man, and servant of God.
Randy spent many years chasing what looked exciting on the surface but slowly took everything from him. Addiction, unhealthy relationships, and poor choices eventually caught up, leading to serious health issues, broken relationships, and time in prison.
He reflects on how God’s promises have proven true over time and how learning to wait on the Lord has changed the way he thinks, responds, and lives.
Sermon: “Man’s Dual Nature”:
In this message from Romans chapter 7, we are confronted with a struggle every believer knows well. The desire to do what is right, paired with the reality that we often do the opposite. Using the familiar story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, this sermon illustrates the inner conflict between our old nature and the new life God calls us to live.
