AJ: In this testimony, AJ shares how an unexpected situation left him stranded far from home and searching for direction. After years of success as a truck driver, he found himself in a place he never expected, but one he now believes God brought him to for a purpose.
At Pacific Garden Mission, AJ found more than provision. Surrounded by constant teaching and conversations about God, he began to refocus his life on what truly matters.
Sermon: “Don’t Die in the Wilderness”: In this sermon, we are confronted with a powerful question: why do some people hear the same Word of God yet end up with completely different outcomes? Through the stories of the Israelites and Rahab, we see that the difference is not in the promise of God, but in how people respond to it.
The message highlights how many allow “nevertheless” to override faith, focusing on obstacles, past failures, and excuses instead of God’s promises. While some saw giants and defeat, others saw opportunity and trusted that God would deliver. The difference came down to perspective, influence, and ultimately belief.
This sermon calls each listener to examine their own response to God’s Word. The promises of God are true, but they must be mixed with faith to produce change. Rather than returning to old patterns or making excuses, we are challenged to trust God fully, step forward in faith, and embrace the new life He offers.
