Nobu: Nobu came to Chicago during the winter months while experiencing homelessness in an unfamiliar city and found safety and stability at Pacific Garden Mission after a recommendation from a friend. Through seasons of hardship, uncertainty, and navigating difficult life circumstances, Nobu has experienced compassion, support, and a growing understanding of God’s care and faithfulness even in life’s most challenging moments.

Conley: Conley’s life was shaped by addiction, prison, pain, and years spent searching for relief in the wrong places. After countless setbacks, he realized he needed help and a new direction, which eventually led him to Pacific Garden Mission’s New Day program. Through recovery, discipleship, and a growing relationship with God, Conley is now discovering healing, sobriety, hope, and the man God created him to be.

Sermon: “Decisions You Have to Live With”: The choices we make often carry consequences far beyond what we expect. Looking at Joshua chapter 9, this sermon examines how Israel made a life-altering mistake because they relied on appearances and human understanding instead of seeking God’s wisdom. Whether facing decisions about relationships, recovery, work, or the future, this message challenges listeners to slow down, trust the Lord, and seek His direction before making choices they may have to live with for years to come.
