After first coming to Pacific Garden Mission years ago, he experienced salvation and began rebuilding his life, but later hardships, health issues, and loss brought him back again in a time of great need.
DeJesus: In this testimony, DeJesus shares how an unexpected eviction and job loss left him without stability and unsure of where to turn. After losing his home due to unsafe living conditions, he faced the stress of homelessness and the challenge of starting over.
Sermon: “A Harlot in the Hall of Faith”: In this sermon, we see the powerful story of Rahab, a woman with a broken past who made a life-changing decision to believe in the one true God. Though surrounded by a culture of sin and unbelief, she heard of God’s power and chose to trust Him, even at great personal risk.
This message emphasizes that faith begins by hearing the truth and responding to it. Rahab didn’t just hear about God, she acted on what she believed. Her decision not only saved her life, but placed her in the lineage of Jesus Christ and among the heroes of faith. Ultimately, this sermon is a call to recognize the truth of God’s Word and respond in faith. Like Rahab, each person must make a choice. What we do with what we’ve heard will determine our future, and through faith in God, any life can be transformed.
