Ryan’s Story

Ryan was bullied in grade school and was soon filled with anger. When he got to high school, he began protecting others by beating up bullies. Getting into consistent fights, however, led him to pain killers and he was soon addicted and severely depressed. “The cycle never stopped. It kept getting worse,” recalls Ryan.

After Ryan tried to kill himself, his parents took him to the Mission. “The cravings. The stress. The depression. It’s all been lifted from me,” he says. “I’m ready to start my life over and let the Lord shine his light through me.”
