“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV

Sometimes, we measure success by immediate results. How many saved? How many do we feed? How many articles of clothes did we distribute?

But I am so encouraged by the long-lasting effect of this ministry . . . people we never got to know or numbers that will never show up in a stat line.

I hear from people all the time who stayed here for a short time but were eternally affected. They walked in, never joined a program, never made any connections but listened and left. Here is one such letter,

“I know the Gospel of Jesus Christ Works. I was an overnight guest of PGM for four months. I listened because I wanted to change my life. I was a long-time drug addict. I made up my mind while sitting in the Old Lighthouse on State St.

20 years later, I founded an outreach called Children of the Lord, pastored a church in Milwaukee and am now pastoring a Church in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. I watch your programs and am still inspired by your messages. Keep doing what you are doing, it works.”
